Transact Pro in cooperation with S/C Sāga starts selling Mastercard Gift Cards

Transact Pro, in cooperation with S/C Sāga, is now issuing and offering Mastercard gift cards for use within S/C Sāga.

This marks the first cooperation project where gift cards are sold without the involvement of an information center, utilizing a cooperation partner instead.

The new Mastercard gift cards present the shopping center with a unique opportunity to increase sales volumes and attract new customers. They also offer increased security, reduced infrastructure costs, an expanded offering, and enhanced customer loyalty. With a single gift card, customers can shop at any merchant within the shopping center and redeem the card’s value in parts.

“Shopping centers today do not have to manage the maintenance and servicing of local systems that facilitate gift card acceptance, turnover tracking, and settlements with merchants. All these processes are handled and ensured by the automatic payment system, Mastercard. This project has been unique and unprecedented for us because S/C Sāga does not have a traditional information center where customers can purchase Sāga gift cards. Therefore, we had to explore alternative options, and we believe everything has turned out very well!" says Artūrs Žogots, Transact Pro's Business Development Department Manager.

The nominal value of the gift card will range between EUR 10 and 150. However, the gift card will have certain restrictions: it will only be accepted at participating merchants at Sāga, will not enable cash withdrawals, and will not allow adding funds to the balance.
